Poetry by Shiny✨🩵 "Good Night, Las Vegas"
Dear Readers, ♥️
After far too many days spent in Vegas (mostly for work, also for a little fun), I thought I should write a poem about it.
Hope it makes you laugh. :)
Love,
Shiny ✨
Good Night, Las Vegas
Money in the bank
to money in the slots;
lay it all on the line,
better call your shot.
No clocks by the bed,
same songs in your head,
no time spent outside,
are we alive or dead?
It’s not enough sleep.
It’s not enough wine.
It’s not enough coffee.
Is this glass yours or mine?
Turn the music up loud,
let’s get another drink;
we should really go to sleep,
what do you think?
It’s not the bourbon talking,
this is really me,
there’s truth here, I swear!
It’s not fake tears you see.
How long is this walk?
How soon 'til our flight?
What’s our game plan
for the rest of the night?
Do we have more rosé?
Should we get a snack?
We better get going,
I need time to pack.
I’ve been here too long,
get me out of Sin City;
she drank up the money,
but made me feel pretty!
So shiny!
So sparkly!
So fun!
So free!
So good night,
Las Vegas.
The last martini's on me.
